Data we collect
While browsing, we collect technical data (IP address, browser type) via the site's hosting, and cart preferences saved locally in your browser (never transmitted to us until you complete an order). At checkout, via our payment provider Stripe, we collect: name, shipping address, email, phone (if provided), and payment details — the latter handled entirely by Stripe and never seen or stored by us. We also record aggregated visit statistics: the page viewed, the language, the country, region and city estimated from your IP address by our hosting provider, and the site you came from (the domain name only, never the full address). Your IP address is not stored alongside these statistics, and they are not used to profile you.
Purpose of processing
Processing and shipping orders, customer support, compliance with legal obligations (e.g. accounting and tax), improving the service.
Legal basis
Performance of the sales contract, compliance with legal obligations, legitimate interest for fraud prevention and security.
Who we share data with
Your order data is shared with Stripe (payment processing) and with the supplier who physically ships the product (needs the recipient's name and address). These providers process data as independent controllers or processors under their own privacy notices.
International data transfers
Since products are shipped by suppliers located outside Switzerland/EU as well, the shipping data needed for delivery (name, address) is shared with the supplier responsible for shipping.
Minors
We're aware part of our audience is made up of teenagers. We don't collect data beyond what's needed to fulfil the order, and we encourage minors to shop with a parent or guardian involved, particularly regarding payment methods.
Data retention
Order data is kept for as long as required by Swiss accounting and tax obligations.
Cookies and local storage
The site uses your browser's local storage to remember your cart contents. We use a single technical cookie (NEXT_LOCALE) to remember your chosen language: it's strictly necessary for the site to work and doesn't require consent. We do not use profiling, analytics, or third-party advertising cookies. If you complete a purchase, Stripe's payment page may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy.
Your rights
Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) you have the right to access, correct, delete, and object to the processing of your data. To exercise these rights, contact us via order@teenstore.ch.
